Hey y’all. My name is April and I'd like to welcome you to “AprilNewlyMe.” Thank you so much for stopping by. I’d like to share a little about myself and what you can expect here on my blog. I have been married to my best friend for about three years now. I had been working full time since the age of 17 when I was laid off November of 2017. After losing my job, I had to adjust to staying at home and all that came along with it, which you may think was easy. WRONG lol – it wasn’t.
I like to think of myself as a “millennial housewife” and/ or an urban wife. Seventy percent of the time, I’m a homemaker. I’m cooking, cleaning, organizing, grocery shopping, etc. - all the things a traditional housewife does. The other thirty percent of the time, I’m working on this blog and my YouTube channel. I also work with a lifestyle brand called Beer Kulture . If we need extra income or are saving for something special, I work part-time as needed. Along with working, another non-traditional housewife practice of mine is semi-home cooking – ya girl sometimes takes short cuts, y’all.
On this blog, you’ll definitely get some recipes and household tips and tricks. Things I've learned through my ongoing trials and tribulations. You’ll basically be coming along with me on this crazy journey of being a housewife.
